Digital assemblies of “found objects” using photoscanned assets and materials.

These served as an early-stage and brief proof-of-concept within the process of developing the conceptual basis for a furniture project.

The compositions or “digital assemblies” expiriment with the relationship between the object and the designer. It examines how the balance of form, color, material is defined. As an act of composition this relatonship is symbiotic. The act of selection in the curation of the objects, their influence on final form in the absence of a predetirmined result, and the objects own color, material, and form wich influneced selection are teh primary elements of this realtionship.

Each assembly was “spray painted” white, in this case, the materials were edited to be monochromatic. This was to tip the scale toward the designer in this relationship, aiming to unify the composition into a more cohesive final object. Although, in this tipping, there is an element of authenticity that is lost in favor of the aesthetic. This is the very push and pull which I aimed to explore.
